Did you still remember the feeling of your first day in your university? Well, I was waiting for my university at September after I graduated high school in July. Two months waiting for the day of university is very long time to do. But when it is coming closely, oh!! Yeah … what is the feeling? I felt very excited and I felt very nervous at the same time to walk into the university because I don’t know any people and also don’t have any friend in here. I tried to find my classroom, but I was confusing with the building. It was so shy I do. I ask myself where is my classrooms? Who is my professor? Who are my classmates? Where I should go? The finally question and funny question is why don’t I ask other student? My first day at Royal University of Phnom Penh was very nice and interesting.

My university is so nice, the courtyard so widely and many building for each department. The problem is I didn’t know how to arrive my classroom? I looked at many people around me, and I felt strange. This is so complicated for me, at that time. I asked a girl who is walking to the university. She looks so friendly and beautiful. Anyway, she couldn’t tell me the direction to go to my classroom because she also the new student and the new comer as me. This is so much funny crazy. We walked together to the middle of the university, I asked her a lot about her hometown, her high school and her time been in Phnom Penh city. And I asked her about her major, so we discovered that we are in the same major. That is so much fun, I was reduced nervous. She introduced herself, Savory. And I also did it. Savory is my first friend in university, and also my first classmate. The magic thing is we are come from the same province and city, Battambang province. Then, we asked other student on direction to our classroom. Finally we found it.

We felt so strange when we walked into our classroom, and we found the sit not far from each other. All our classmates so quiet, no one talk or play when the classes began. The professor is coming. He is come earlier. In the first day of the opening class, he didn’t have any teaching, but he introduces himself and his background before starting the professor. Next, all the students also did for themself one by one. They introduced their name, and their homeland. I look at a classmate who is sit next to me. She is so quiet person but she is friendly and beautiful, she said hello to me and I did back to her. Her name is Vatey. She comes from Kompong Thom province. I looked at two others classmates, who sit behind me, Malin and Molika. They are living in Phnom Penh city. There were eighty-five student included me in the class. So I can’t recognize all of them in this first time, but I will do it one by one.

Savory and I started the conversation with Malin, Molika and Vatey. I was introduced myself then they also did the same. We are began to know more from each other, like where we are come from, where high school we studied, and why we decided to choose this major. After that, we spend the rest time together until the time we go home. We felt so much happy to know each other and our favorite are looked similar even we come from difference location.

That day is unforgettable for me because it was the first day that I had opportunity to know many people and especially I met my best friend. It gave me very nice experience. I think that the first day in the new location can make we felt nervous, but it is the thing that can make we felt happily and interesting ending sometimes. That’s why I said my first day in university was very nice and interesting.
