What can we learn from reading books?

What can we learn from reading books?

(Read in 3 minutes)

What can we learn from reading books? As I have mentioned in the previous articles, to react and take action. For instance, if you want to read a book, yes, just read it. You want to solve some problem, and yes, find the solution and handle it. You want to obtain a good habit, and of course, start to do some from a small action, or just read a book.

We read books and see the way other people behave, and sometimes we make ourselves quite depressed. Because there are too many ruthless people in the world, their actions are often unimaginable. We saw it and thought, wow! I can’t keep up in my life. I caught up, hey! That’s too much of a bully. Do we want to live like that? So when you are reading, you often have such doubts in your mind.

Of course, we should have seen such a book many years ago. It is called “A Strange Life – Alexandrovich Lyubishchev’s better life method” and it is written by a person, the Soviet scholar Lyubishev. Lyubishev was a great man in his life. He has made important contributions to biology, agriculture, genetics, philosophy, and zoology.

he has written more than 70 academic monographs in life, what is more frightening? Why is he so hardworking? It’s because he has super time control. He always knows what time it is, what I am doing now, how long it will take me to do this, and how long it will take me to achieve what kind of work results. He has super control.

What’s more terrible, he has been recording every minute of his time since 1916 and has never stopped for more than fifty years. To put it bluntly, you asked him what was doing at 10:30 in the morning on March 20th 15 years ago. Immediately flip through the notes and tell you what I was doing that minute. When we read this book, I think our first initial feeling was that this method is very good and very good. Then should we learn it? This is too cruel to me or you also, squeezing me like this. Thus, in this way of action, we feel like we look up to the mountains, but we are unwilling to pass.

However, after finishing reading this book entirely, we will find that the educational significance we got is not like that at all. Let’s take 1938 as an example. This year, Lyubishev wrote terrific academic works. He wrote more than 500 pages of academic works, but at the same time, looking at his notes, he read various novels, and read more than 9,000 pages, how many hours did he spend more than 240 hours? Counting 24 hours a year without eating or drinking, you can see that he spent 10 days reading novels.

Thus, you may wonder if he had spent most of his time on work and reading. There was just a part of his life, and there was very balance and well treated to himself. As for the entertainment, he didn’t delay. He entertained 65 times, and he recorded them all. Including listening to concerts, watching operas, watching movies, watching exhibitions, and swimming 43 times.

What’s more important is that if you look at his note, he must ensure that he sleeps for 10 hours a day, which is impossible for ordinary people. What’s more, Lyubishev’s work notes stated that he worked no more than 4 hours a day.

Shame on those of us who work at least 8 hours a day. Lyubishev thought, yeah, four hours a day is fine. If you work more than 4 hours today, it proves that your work is not efficient. So I have to ensure my leisure, entertainment, sleep, and work for the rest.

Therefore, the biggest educational significance for me after reading his story is that it does not mean that I have to be diligent and manage time, but it is efficiency. That is, our lives are painful, tiring, and busy, not because we have no time, but because we are inefficient.

This is the benefit of reading. You may go standing outside and find that, oh, this guy is amazing, that man has done amazing things, and we think that bullying ourselves can achieve that achievement. No, I don’t think so. The reading tells us that it always had a secret, and those secrets are usually written about it.

The column I made about reading is not about any great principles or methods, but there is one of the reasons that I said, it’s just an ordinary habit and a good habit begins with reading. Then we also refine some actions by reading some books. However, there is not every action or 100% to follow. Let’s refine and define the one or more that fit you and make yourself better. I hope it catches up your interest in reading. There is no more complex action, but just you are willing to pick up a book and start reading. Now, stop thinking and take action, read!
